Skamagnet is a vibrant project dedicated to promoting the timeless sounds of Jamaican Ska and Reggae from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Curated with a rich blend of history and modern creativity, Skamagnet brings new life to the genre through original photographs and artwork by Phoenix Bay, a photographer who captured the pulse of the ska scene during the 80s and 90s.

Phoenix, who was deeply embedded in the heart of London's Soho club scene, spent years hanging out with iconic figures of the genre like Prince Buster, The Skatalites, Lee Perry, and Laurel Aitken. His lens immortalized the energy and spirit of those revolutionary years, capturing intimate moments that reflected the vibrant cultural movement.

Today, Phoenix Bay has expanded his creative reach into music, bringing his passion for Ska and Reggae full circle by producing his own tracks, alongside exclusive merchandise that celebrates the genre’s legacy.
